Robin Finds Joy and Connection in Giving Back at Ryan House
For Ryan House volunteer Robin, the gift of respite is deeply personal. As the parent of a child on the autism spectrum, she knows firsthand how meaningful it can be to have time to recharge while knowing your child is cared for and happy. That gratitude for respite care inspired her to give back to the community and ultimately led her to Ryan House. Robin brings warmth, patience, and joy to every shift. Whether she is swinging on the playground, playing card games, walking the halls, or simply spending time with a child, she finds connection in moments big and small. She especially cherishes the quiet connections that sometimes form without words. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to connect with them on a level that words can’t express,” Robin shared. She also appreciates the kindness of the Ryan House team. “The friendliness and gratefulness from the staff truly make me happy and feel seen,” she said. Interested in making a difference?
