Give Families the Freedom to Breathe This Summer

For Melissa and her family, Ryan House means one word: freedom.

Freedom to rest. Freedom to sleep through the night. Freedom to enjoy a hot cup of coffee, take a walk, go to dinner, or spend one-on-one time with their 8-year-old daughter, Gracie, all while knowing Jaxton and Mason are safe, loved, and receiving expert care at Ryan House.

“If it wasn’t for Ryan House, we would never get the chance to take a break from caring for the boys,” Melissa shared. “Ryan House gives us real rest and peace of mind knowing they are cared for and loved the way we care for and love them at home.”
And while Melissa and her husband get a rare chance to recharge from 24/7 caregiving, Jaxton and Mason get their own kind of freedom, too. They call Ryan House their “staycation.”

As the first children to stay in the newly renovated Ryan House Teen Suites, Jaxton and Mason were able to enjoy a space designed especially for teens, a place where they could feel comfortable, independent, and celebrated.

For families caring around the clock for children with complex medical needs, respite is essential. It gives parents the chance to rest, recharge, and return to caregiving with renewed strength for the precious time they have together.

Their Summer Break Starts With You

Because of donors like you, Melissa’s family was able to do things that may seem simple to others, but meant everything to them, like taking Gracie indoor rock climbing, four-wheeling in the mountains, and even sitting upstairs together at Organ Stop Pizza.

For a family with two boys who use wheelchairs, that upstairs table was more than a table. It was a moment of normalcy, freedom, and joy.

“Our family was alone and stressed to the max,” Melissa shared. “Then we walked into Ryan House for the very first time, and we felt instant relief. We felt loved, understood, seen, valued, and truly cared for.”

Your gift today helps make moments like these possible for more Ryan House families this summer.
