A Year of Learning, Leading and Loving at Ryan House

Over the past year, we’ve had the joy of hosting Riley Steinmetz, an occupational therapy doctoral student completing her capstone experience at Ryan House. While many may not have known, her presence has made a quiet but powerful impact on our children, volunteers, and staff alike. With deep empathy and a genuine connection to our children, Riley brought warmth, creativity, and compassion to everything she did. She played a pivotal role in revamping our volunteer training, equipping new volunteers with thoughtful, accessible tools and real-life examples that made learning meaningful. Her commitment to honoring each child’s individuality and her drive for continual learning have left a lasting mark on our community. As her time with us comes to a close, we celebrate Riley and all she’s brought to Ryan House. We are grateful for the heart, dedication, and love she shared and we can’t wait to see where her path leads next.
