To create a replicable model of world-class caregiving that provides respite and palliative care for children and their families as they navigate life-limiting or end-of-life journeys. We believe that everyone deserves care, dignity, peace, and compassion, especially as they face such unimaginable challenges. Our goal is to not only provide care to children and their families in Arizona but also to serve as a guide and model to help bring care and compassion to families around the world.
With our world-class care and programs, we embrace all children and their families as they navigate life-limiting or end-of-life journeys through:
- Palliative and respite care that addresses the emotional, spiritual, and social needs of the family
- Continuity of care from diagnosis to end-of-life
- Expert care provided by our prestigious care partners and highly-trained staff
- A loving community that offers ongoing support and compassion
To realize our cause and mission, we offer a variety of services to support the needs of both the children in our care and their families. Many of our pediatric care services are designed to simultaneously achieve both of these goals. Our team is composed of certified specialists and trained volunteers who know how to offer the support our families need. Additionally, we partner with Hospice of the Valley to provide our clinical services.
Pediatric Respite Care
Every family needs a break from around-the-clock care every so often. Our overnight respite care allows kids to spend time with other kids like them while their families get a chance to rest and renew their energy.
Pediatric Palliative Care
By applying both the philosophy and the method of palliative care, we are able to reduce physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial pain while also improving quality of life. This service helps make the life-limiting or end-of-life journey a little easier.
Life-Enhancing Therapeutic Activities
We want every child navigating a life-limiting or end-of-life journey to experience the best possible life during that time. Our specialists help address feelings of pain, isolation, and fear. We organize activities to bring fun, learning, and growth to the children in our care.
Pediatric End-of-Life Care
We provide care for children facing end-of-life situations. Our goal is to support the needs of both the child and their family. This journey is never easy, but the right help can alleviate some unnecessary stress and pain.
Grief and Bereavement Support
Our team can also provide grief and bereavement services to the families of children in our care. Through various strategies, we strive to aid families with processing the feelings they experience during a child’s life-limiting or end-of-life journey.
Support for Siblings
Additionally, we have special support services for siblings between the ages of five and 13. They can interact with other kids their ages facing similar situations. Spending time with kids who understand them can help siblings find their way through this difficult experience.
