Paisely-Mae
Soon after Bob and Pam Serr accepted custody of their granddaughter, Paisely Mae, who has Aicardi Syndrome (intractable epilepsy, severe developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and more), they realized they had no quality of life.
They had no respite from the 24/7, 365 days per year needs of a medically fragile child with a life-limiting condition.
It was all-consuming, even with the extensive support team that they had built. They were offered a vacation to get the break they needed, but how could they take it? Where could they find 24-hour skilled nursing care?
Another parent told them about Ryan House, and they checked it out. Ryan House knew what they and Paisely needed, and provided it-free of charge, up to 28 days per year.
The Serrs took the trip. They were confident that Paisley was in great hands and would remain so until they could get there.
When they had no idea what they needed, Ryan House did know, and generously gave it to them free of charge.
