Staff Spotlight: Shelly Calderone & Tami Guthrie Share the Stage!

In celebration of Administrative Professionals Day, we’re highlighting two of our incredible staff members: Shelly Calderone and Tami Guthrie (left to right).

What is one unique thing people don’t know about you – like a hobby, a former profession, a place you’ve visited?

Shelly: I am a survivor.

Tami: I love star gazing… just got a new, super cool, telescope mount that we can attach our 35mm camera to and take time-lapse photos

If you had a superpower, what would it be? 

Shelly: Time Travel

Tami: Change negativity to positivity

What did you want to be when you were younger? 

Shelly: A Social Worker

Tami: A nurse

What is your favorite kind of music and/or band? 

Shelly: Don’t want to date, myself.   SO ….. Anything with a beat.

Tami: 70’s – classic rock… love The Rolling Stones

If you could have dinner with anyone, who would you choose? 

 Shelly: My younger self

Tami: My dad, who passed away when he was my age, 24 yrs. ago

What is one thing you cannot live without? 

Shelly: My faith

Tami: My faith

What do you consider your motto in life? 

Shelly: I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Tami: Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

Is there anything else you’d like to share with the Ryan House community?

 Shelly: I feel blessed to be here and I cherish my time each day.

Tami: As I get closer to the end of my working years, I feel so blessed to be with the great staff and campers at RH.
