Ryan House Receives $30,000 Quality of Life Grant from Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation for Respite Care

We are so proud to announce that Ryan House has been awarded a Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation 2021 Priority Impact Quality of Life Grant as part of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation National Paralysis Resource Center (NPRC)!

The Quality of Life Grants Program supports nonprofit organizations that empower individuals living with paralysis.

The Reeve Foundation National Paralysis Resource Center has several grants under the Quality of Life program awarding grants in different category areas, varying in different amounts.

Ryan House’s Priority Impact Quality of Life grants program will fund its Respite and Caregiving services with a focus on a high-priority issue to increase access to services and increase the independence or inclusion of people living with paralysis, their family members, and caregivers.

Since the Quality of Life Grants Program’s inception, more than 3,490 grants totaling over $36 million have been awarded. Funding for this program was made possible through a cooperative agreement with the Administration for Community Living.

“We are honored to receive this high-profile grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation on behalf of the children with paralysis that receive respite care from Ryan House,” said Executive Director Tracy Leonard-Warner. “Respite care is currently not reimbursed by insurance in Arizona. Grants like this truly make all the difference to us.”
