Ryan House looks forward to participating in a national voter engagement program, Step Up for Kids, which will feature coordinated events nationwide on September 16th. Step Up for Kids day is a program of the Every Child Matters Education Fund (ECMEF) to make children, youth, and families a national priority.
Children's Action Alliance is hosting the September 16 Phoenix forum with a number of community organization co-sponsors. The event will feature a panel of 5 to 10 young Arizonans from a wide variety of backgrounds who will share some of their experiences growing up here. They will share their thoughts with local, state and federal candidates about what public leaders should do to improve the conditions and opportunities for youth. Journalists and audience members will be able to ask panelists questions.
The forum will be held at North High School, 1101 E. Thomas Rd. Admission is free. To learn more or to RSVP (appreciated but not required), please contact Brenda Aguirre, Director of Community Outreach at Children's Action Alliance (602) 266-0707 x209 or baguirre@azchildren.org.
