Make a Difference with your Time and Talents

Volunteers are a welcome and valued part of the Ryan House team.  You can make a difference while adding meaning to your own life, too.  There are a number of ways you can support Ryan House by volunteering.

Volunteer Roles/Descriptions

Volunteers assist clinical staff in meeting the needs of the children and families.  While the Care Team is responsible for all direct care, volunteers are actively involved with activities such as reading, arts and crafts, gardening, story telling, music and more. Likewise, volunteers may help with general housework, laundry or assisting in the kitchen – the types of activities that make a house more like a caring home.

Volunteers interested in working directly under the Care Team at Ryan House should complete a Volunteer application. Accepted applicants are then required to complete the volunteer training course for Ryan House in order to ensure the best possible stay for our guests.

If you are interested in volunteering at Ryan House, you may (through our partner Hospice of the Valley) complete an online application or download an application to return.  Please indicate “Ryan House” on the application.  Accepted applicants will be required to complete volunteer training and orientation.

Other Volunteers

Volunteers interested in supporting and assisting in other settings, such as in the administrative office or at fundraising events, are not required to complete the volunteer training course.  Please fill the form out below.  Your information will be directed to our volunteer coordinator.  Thank you again…volunteering at Ryan House is something you’ll always be proud of!
